Manlio Princi was born in Gorizia in 1942. Enlisted in 1968 as a Conscripted Officer Cadet (AUC) in the 51st Course of the Alpine Military School in Aosta, upon completion of his training he was assigned to the “Tolmezzo” Alpini Battalion, 114th Mortar Company.
In 1968, he was temporarily transferred to Alto Adige/South Tyrol to perform public order duties.
Discharged from military service in 1969, he is a member of the National Alpini Association (ANA). In civilian life, he worked as a chemist in the public sector until retirement and is currently an active member of the Trieste Section of the ANA.
